Joseph Boffa Joins Rainbow Ecoscience as the Territory Manager for the Rocky Mountain Area due to Toni Smith’s Planned Retirement

Minnetonka, MN—October 19, 2023—Joe Boffa joined the Rainbow Ecoscience team in September 2023 as the Territory Manager covering the Rocky Mountain area, as Toni Smith will be retiring at the end of 2023. As a Territory Manager, Joe is responsible for supporting our municipal, tree care, and landscape clients’ integration of Rainbow’s plant healthcare solutions through product ordering, training, and technical support.

Toni has played a significant role at Rainbow in the last ten years in helping companies and cities in the Rocky Mountain region to expand their plant healthcare programs and to help them care for customers’ and constituents’ trees and plants. Over the next few months, Toni will continue to support clients on the Early Order Program and to transition Rainbow support, training, and products needs over to Joseph (Joe) Boffa.

Joe has a B.S. in Forestry from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and has extensive experience working in the green industry over the last eight years. Early on in his career, he obtained his Qualified supervisor license from the Colorado Department of Agriculture. Additionally, he became an ISA Certified Arborist.

Joe’s experience with managing key invasive pests like emerald ash borer and Japanese beetle and his extensive knowledge of plants will be great assets to our team and our clients. He will bring the same level of support, knowledge, and expertise to our clients in the Rocky Mountain region as they have come to expect over the years from Toni,” said Chris Haugen, Assistant Director of Sales.

In his free time, Joe enjoys camping, hiking, and backpacking. He loves the Colorado outdoors, and his favorite place to spend time is in Northern Minnesota in the Boundary Waters.
