Emily Shafer Joins Rainbow Ecoscience as the Northeast Territory Manager
Minnetonka, MN – June 1st, 2026 – Rainbow Ecoscience is excited to announce that Emily Shafer has joined the team as the new Northeast Territory Manager. Emily brings a robust background in environmental science and urban ecology, as well as hands-on experience in utility arboriculture, to her new role supporting clients across the Northeast region.
Emily began her career as a wildland firefighter, quickly earning her Faller II certification and developing a passion for managing tree hazards. Her journey took her to Lucas Tree Experts, where she advanced from arborist trainee to consulting arborist for Eversource, and then to project manager for Arbormetrics, overseeing complex right-of-way projects from start to finish.
Emily holds several professional credentials, including ISA Certification #NE-7544A, ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), Connecticut Arborist License, Supervisory Pesticide License, and a Class A CDL. She is dedicated to client education, innovative solutions, and building strong relationships within the green industry.
“I’ve spent many years in the world of utility arboriculture, and I’m excited to step into a whole different side of the industry to learn and grow alongside our clients,” said Emily Shafer. “I look forward to helping clients enhance their plant health care programs and supporting the sustainable management of our urban forests.”
When she’s not working, Emily enjoys horseback riding, hiking with her chocolate lab, Axle, fishing, and exploring new places with her fiancé.
